A Rainy Day / A Rain Strom:

Rainy season which starts from July and lasts Up to September is followed by diseases. All creatures perspire from head to foot on the burning earth pray for this season, to end quickly. Last Friday we had a holiday. A strong wind was blowing. People were praying to Allah for rain. Soon dark clouds appeared from the north and covered the sky. At about 2 O’ clock it began to rain cats and dogs. The streets were soon full of water. There was ankle-deep water everywhere. The young and old all were bathing in the rain. Children were running in the streets. They were floating paper boats on the surface of water. It stopped raining after three hours. I went to an orchard and ate mangoes to my fill. It became a very pleasant day. The leaves of the trees were washed. Cool air was blowing. There were a few pieces of clouds in the sky. It was a day of marry making.
